AWC Grief Support Supporting Grieving Children and Families through Education and Counselling Offerings range from one-hour seminars to multiple day workshops and retreats.

Andrea Warnick provides counselling and education to families on the topics of supporting children and youth who are anticipating the death of someone close to them, or grieving the death of a family member or friend. Counselling for adults, children and youth is available in person in Toronto, Canada. Counselling and education sessions by phone/skype is available to adults across Canada and the United States. Andrea offers a variety of classes, seminars, and workshops to organizations on the topics of grief, palliative care, and about how these topics intersect with children and youth.

In partnership with ALS Canada, AWC Grief Support is proud to offer the inaugural ALS Youth Retreat, a free weekend bringing together youth from across Ontario for friendship, fun, and connection in a supportive camp setting.

We blend traditional camp fun with guided therapeutic activities, giving participants tools to process the challenges of having a parent with a serious illness while building peer connections that last well beyond the weekend.

Space is limited and registration is required. The Expression of Interest Form takes less than 5 minutes to complete!

What a treat to have this opportunity to connect with Lynda and Jon on their wonderful podcast. Lynda and I became friends in the early days of during which she and her family helped grow it into what it is today. And Jon is the founder of Myra's Kids Foundation which does incredible work with bereaved children and youth in Quebec (including a camp!).
