Dragonfly Day Nursery — South Guelph
Good day, parents! 🙂
Dragonfly Day Nursery currently has TWO child care spaces available beginning in September 2026.
These are not September-start-only spaces. I welcome families needing care beginning in September or anytime afterward, as long as a space remains available.
So whether you're returning to work in September, October, November, after the holidays, or later, please feel free to get in touch. ❤️
I am also accepting interview requests from families who would like to join my waitlist for future care.
For more than 30 years, I have had the privilege of helping families with their child care needs. I operate a small, independent home daycare where children have the opportunity to learn, grow, play, explore — and simply enjoy being little. ❤️
A little about Dragonfly Day Nursery:
✅️ Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30, with some flexibility
✅️ Location: South Guelph — Edinburgh/Kortright/Gordon area
✅️ All ages welcome
✅️ CPR & First Aid trained and certified
✅️ Transition period offered so your little one has time to become comfortable with their new environment and morning routine before you return to work full-time
✅️ Two nutritious snacks and a healthy lunch provided daily
✅️ Food allergies and individual dietary needs are taken into consideration when planning and preparing meals
✅️ Outdoor play and neighbourhood walks, weather permitting
✅️ A dedicated child care and learning space filled with books, toys, imaginative play and hands-on activities
✅️ Two friendly house cats who love our daycare families
And we have FUN! 😜
Our days can include dance parties, themed learning weeks, sensory play, fine- and gross-motor activities, letters, numbers, shapes and colours, school-readiness activities, birthday celebrations, pizza-and-movie Fridays and special seasonal projects to take home.
Learning at Dragonfly happens through playing, exploring, creating, singing, moving, experimenting and doing — because little people learn an incredible amount while they're busy having fun. ❤️
I continue to educate myself on current research and approaches to early childhood education and care.
As an independent private child care provider, I am not part of the government reduced-fee child care program. Please message me for my current fee schedule.
I follow the applicable Ontario requirements governing independent home child care and take the responsibility of providing a safe, nurturing environment for the children entrusted to me very seriously.
