Je suis super heureux d'avoir participé en tant qu'intervenant sur la voix et l'improvisation vocale à la 1ère édition du stage sur l'expression scénique organisé par la super équipe de aux Sables-d'Olonne !!! I am very pleased to announce that I successfully defended my PhD in Critical Studies in Improvisation! I want to thank all the people who helped me through this long, challenging, and fascinating journey. Thank you to my committee, and especially to Dr. Ajay Heble, for his guidance and support. I am beyond grateful 💫
My thesis focuses on the implementation of collective vocal improvisation like Vocal River and Música do Círculo as a pedagogy in post-secondary education. You can access my dissertation via the link in the comments.

I am thrilled to share the release of the IDEAS episode The Vocal Improv Cure "When words get in the way, vocal improvisation saves the day," we recorded with Tom Howell and Nicola Luksic, two CBC journalists, and presented by Nahlah Ayed. I take you on my vocal improv journey as I am finishing my PhD in critical studies in improvisation at the University of Guelph, about collective vocal improvisation.

I introduce methods, such as Vocal River and Música do Círculo, to notable former Ontarian politicians Kathleen Wynne, Lisa Raitt, and Peggy Nash. It has been such a great honour to serve as co-pilot alongside .is.me for the 2025 “All The Way In” program, created by the inspiring . This program offers three different sessions in Hawai’i, Italy, and Canada for vocal improvisers who are interested in expanding their musicianship, developing a sense of belonging, gaining confidence, and building community.

I want to express my gratitude to Rhiannon for sharing her wisdom and for her profound trust in the work of collective vocal improvisation. Her Vocal River method is a pioneering framework that has already inspired thousands of singers worldwide, with many more to come.

I would also like to thank Zahara for our excellent, nourishing, and effective collaboration, as well as all the participants for their courage and willingness to grow.
