🧡 On this National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the survivors of the residential schools, the children who never returned to their families, as well as their loved ones and communities.

This day invites us to listen to the truths, to continue our learning, and to recognize the responsibility of each and every one of us on the path to reconciliation. We are called upon to reflect and take respectful actions.

Reconciliation requires a sincere and lasting commitment, far beyond a single day.

LTA proudly stands in support of Red Dress Day, honoring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S+).

The red dress serves as a powerful symbol of those who are missing and the lives that have been taken too soon. We wear red to raise awareness, to remember, and to reaffirm our commitment to listening, learning, and taking action alongside Indigenous communities.

Today in class we talk about our love for our mothers, aunts, grandmothers, sisters, and friends. We talk about how to help others in our community.
