We had the honour of hosting Sifu Amy Wang to the Guelph Jing Mo Kung Fu Club this past Thursday evening for a session on the theory and techniques of Choy Lay Fut kung fu. Her class brought new light to our understanding of the Chinese Martial Arts, their traditional roots, and modern applictions. We look forward to her return.

It is always a pleasure to have guro/sifu John Rivers visit Guelph Jing Mo Kung Fu Club and share his vast martial knowledge with us. John is a long time Hung Kuen student, studying with Sifu Jopet Laraya and Sigung James Lore. John is a black belt in Jiu Jitsu and has competed in various jiu jitsu tournaments. He studied Arnis de Abiniko under Sifu Jopet Laraya and travelled to the Philippines to study in Cebu with the late G**o Johnny Ciuten. John has competed in full contact stick fighting tournaments and continues his practice and teaching. He is such a generous martial teacher and good friend.
