Russell Scott is the owner of Awaken the Guru in You and the author of the book "Awakening the Guru in You" . He leads retreats, seminars and spiritual mentorship/counseliing services for people he calls the Independent Spiritual Seekers. People who yearn to experience what is true for themselves without having to follow and guru, religion or set spiritual path. Previously he was the owner and director of the Ecology Retreat Centre Ltd near Orangeville, Ontario, for 11 years, developing it into one of the most successful and respected retreat centres in Ontario. In the last 25 years, he has facilitated and organized over 200 self-actualization and ecological awareness seminars and has maintained a personal counselling practice for over 15 years. He is a gifted facilitator with extensive training and experience in many personal development modalities and spiritual paths. He has a creative side as an accomplished singer/song writer and recording artist. A sensitive, engaging and compassionate retreat leader and counsellor, he is deeply committed to helping individuals live fully from their true nature and purpose in life. He gets great joy watching people fall off their chairs in fits of laughter when they realize who they really are.
