Exciting news! Part of our CAMA team competed in a case competition at the CAMA Annual Meeting in Mississauga — and they won!

It was our first time competing, and the team had just 24 hours to develop and present a marketing plan for a given product. Congratulations to everyone involved!

We are pleased to extend a warm welcome to all of our incoming graduate students. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting our annual orientation, where we introduced students to the resources, community, and opportunities that await them in the coming year. We are excited to support you as you begin this important chapter in your academic and professional journey. Here's to a successful and inspiring year ahead!

Today, the Farmland Survey Oversight Committee held its annual meeting—celebrating over a decade of leadership in providing Ontario farmers with up-to-date, trusted farmland rental rate data. 🌾📊

Led by Dr. Brady Deaton Jr. (FARE) in partnership with OMAFRA and Ontario’s three accredited farm organizations—, , and —this project supports transparency and smarter decisions in farmland rental markets.

It’s also a great example of 's commitment to research, outreach, and hands-on learning for students in agri-food. 🍎📚

Please join us in congratulating our students for their success at the 2025 Graduate Research Symposium, co-hosted by the Department of FARE, the Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance, and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA).
The 2nd year MSc students all gave outstanding presentations and demonstrated the quality of their thesis research. There was a wide range of topics covered by the students, all dealing with important real-world issues.
Susan Price (MSc FARE) won the 1st place prize, Emily Gibson (MSc FARE) won the 2nd place prize and Reanna Shaftoe (MSc FARE) won the 3rd place prize!
