If you're an Ontario veterinarian or registered veterinary technician practicing on companion animals, you’re invited to fill out the survey.

Did you know, you don't have to wait until you graduate to complete the Professionalism and Ethics requirement to become an RVT?

The P&E workshop is one of the steps you need to complete to gain your registered status as an RVT. Any student member in their final year of a veterinary technology program or pending member are eligible to register for the professionalism and ethics workshop.

The workshop consists of interactive, scenario-based learning, and gives participants a more developed understanding of the professionalism and ethics required to be a registered veterinary technician.

The OAVT runs several virtual P&E workshops throughout the year. To register, participants must go to their member portal and select register for upcoming events.

🔬 Hematology Wet Lab Recap 🔬
This past weekend, the OAVT welcomed 20 RVTs for a full day of hands-on CE at our Hematology Wet Lab! Participants prepared blood smears for advanced interpretation, with a focus on RBC and WBC morphology. They also explored less common sample preparation techniques such as buffy coat slides.

• Kate Enright, RVT, VTS-candidate (Clinical Pathology), for her assistance in keeping the lab running smoothly
