The “K Crew” in Mrs. Uyede & Mrs. Andovski’s class has been enjoying Mystery reader week! Our Mystery Readers included parents and family members who came to read their favourite story with the class. We’ve had unicorns 🦄 drop in, singing 🎵, & homemade crochet main characters involved. Thank you to all the awesome storytellers who brought their stories to life for our children. ♥️

We are so pleased to be celebrating a Wellington Catholic ALLSTAR!⭐️✨🌟 Mrs. Henry will be retiring at the end of June, after 30+ years supporting children to reach their fullest potential. As our current Special Education and Resource Teacher, she has put her HEART❤️ and SOUL☀️into helping young people have the best chance at learning, believing in themselves, while modelling that for other staff! You’re SIMPLY THE BEST💪🏼 Mrs. Henry! Congratulations on your legacy!💥

Thank you Hurricane 🌀staff, students and families, for remembering to accept and LOVE❤️ anyone and everyone who walks throughout the front doors of our school, as Jesus loved us NO MATTER WHAT. Everyone needs to “feel like they belong.”🌈🙏🏼

To celebrate ONTARIO DAY🇨🇦 on June 1st, Mrs. Circelli’s Gr.4s took on an exciting initiative to have a Smoothie CHALLENGE! 💪🏼 They connected buying locally sourced Ontario food ingredients🍓🥛 and connected it to their healthy decision-making🤔 curriculum in the Healthy Living Strand of their curriculum. They want to thank local community partners Zehra’s Eramosa and Foodland Grocery in Rockwood for supplying the ingredients and promotional materials! The Smoothie Challenge was a WIN-WIN success for all! Super work Hurricanes!🌀🙌🏼🌀👍🏼🌀👏🏼🌀

We would really like to thanks Madam Green and her leadership, for recruiting the STRENGTH and TALENTS of various classes, including our Grade 1s and 2s in Mrs. Bendo and Mrs. Dixon’s classes, for creating this wonderful memorial and bulletin display for June’s INDIGENOUS AWARENESS MONTH!🧡 While we illuminate this reconciliation and truth this month, “the learning has to happen all year, in every class and every subject!” Great work Hurricanes!👏🏼🌀👏🏼🌀👏🏼
