I love music and can help bring more music into your life!

I completed RCM Grade 8 as a teenager and after a career that involved no music at all, I made the excellent decision to open a home piano studio. I have been happily teaching piano since 2010.

My lessons focus on learning how to play songs immediately. I have students playing pop, blues, classical, and accompaniment pieces in their very first lessons. My students discover the sheer pleasure of playing piano before they learn to read music.

My goal is for my students to enjoy the process of learning. I want you to feel confident and delighted with your progress. I customize lessons based on my students’ needs and objectives. One of my strengths as a teacher is breaking down challenging compositions into manageable steps that you can master quickly. I pride myself in being patient, gentle, and encouraging.

My studio is virtual. Teaching online enables me to offer flexible lesson times and allows my students to learn comfortably from home on their own instrument. I love it! I offer both private and group lessons.

While my studio is available everywhere, it corporeally exists in Guelph, Ontario, Canada where I live with my spouse, children, and two beloved cats. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy nature walks, playing games with my family, and performing improv online and on the stage. I love almost every genre of music, but dance, electronic, and classical music are my favourites.
