Managed by Rodger Tschanz of 's Department of Plant Agriculture, the Trial Garden showcases innovative ornamental plant varieties submitted by breeders for evaluation before they reach the market.
Stroll through the gardens, shop the perennial plant sale, vote for your favourite flower, and get expert gardening and lawn care advice.

Happy ! Celebrated annually on the first Saturday of August, this is a day to celebrate Canadian food and everyone who plays a role across the food system.
Founded by ’s food laureate, the late Anita Stewart, Food Day Canada aims to promote Canada’s food culture and cuisine, and encourages Canadians to eat Canadian-grown food – whether it’s cooking a meal at home with family and friends, dining out at a restaurant or partaking in a community barbecue.
U of G’s history is deeply rooted in agri-food, from our research and innovation to training the next generation of food leaders in all aspects of agriculture, from technology, food policy, business leadership, entrepreneurship, nutrition and more, to build a more resilient Canadian food ecosystem.

’s Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre has received a $1-million gift from the WB Family Foundation to advance sustainable materials research and support building a stronger bio-economy in Ontario and beyond.
