Equine Health and Emergency First Aid coming up June 29, 2024 at the Manitoba Horse Council barns in Bird's Hill Park!
In just one day you will learn:
- rules of first aid
- pain detection
- pain alleviation
- stretches for injury prevention
- proper vital signs techniques
- what is normal/what isn't
- conditioning a horse to accept treatment
- lacerations, puncture wounds, and bandaging must-knows
- eye injuries (what to do and not do)
- recognizing and dealing with colic, choke, collapse & shock
- recognizing common hoof ailments
- ulcer detection
- when to call the vet and what she needs to know
- and so much more!
ALL hands on in a fun and supportive environment with friendly horses. No experience is necessary - just a desire to learn more and be prepared to help horses in an emergency.
