"The Saskatchewan Prevention Institute is hosting the webinar, Child Passenger Safety: Being Winter-Ready, on Monday, November 2, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Winter travel in Saskatchewan can create unique challenges for parents and caregivers travelling with children. Bulky clothing can affect harness fit, cold weather can complicate travel, and everyday winter routines can make car seat safety feel overwhelming and complicated.

This webinar will help parents and caregivers build confidence in child passenger safety throughout the year, with a special emphasis on winter travel. It will address common winter car seat safety questions, offer practical strategies for keeping children properly restrained, and explain how to manage everyday challenges involving children, winter clothing, and car seats.

Here is the Provincial Mobile Early Learning poster for the month of October.

Mealtimes with little ones don’t always go as planned—and that’s okay! Helping children develop a healthy relationship with food takes time, patience, and lots of opportunities to explore new foods.

Remember the simple division of responsibility:

You decide: WHAT, WHEN & WHERE food is offered.

Your child decides: IF and HOW MUCH they want to eat.

It’s completely normal for children to be hesitant about new foods. Keep offering a variety of healthy foods without pressure, and remember—it can take many exposures before a child accepts something new!
