🧠💙 Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is a serious mental health condition that causes a person to become excessively preoccupied with one or more perceived flaws in their appearance—often flaws that may be minor or not noticeable to others.

Symptoms typically begin during adolescence, with many cases emerging between the ages of 12 and 13. BDD can have a significant impact on a young person's self-esteem, academic performance, social relationships, and overall quality of life.

By raising awareness and encouraging understanding, we can help young people access the support they need and promote positive mental health. 🌟
