Lo-Ellen Park Knights Deliver Another Historic OFSAA Performance

Once again, the Lo-Ellen Park Knights have etched their names into the history books at the OFSAA Track and Field Championships.

Prior to 2025, the record for OFSAA medals won by all Sudbury schools combined in a single championship was five. Last season, the Knights shattered that standard by capturing 10 OFSAA medals on their own. While this year's performance may not have matched the unprecedented heights of 2025, it still stands as one of the greatest championship showings ever by a Northern Ontario track and field team.

The Knights qualified 13 entries for OFSAA finals and returned home with an impressive six medals, once again proving themselves among the province's elite.

Medalists

Annabelle Richardson – Silver, Junior Girls 100m; Gold, Junior Girls 200m

Anderson Parent – Silver, Senior Boys Discus; Bronze, Senior Boys Shot Put

Levi Blouin – Bronze, Junior Boys 100m Hurdles

Junior Girls 4x100m Relay Team – Silver
(Annabelle Richardson, Rya D'Amour, Ellie Sauve, Rowan Frood)

Additional OFSAA Finalists

Violet Sutherland – 6th, Novice Girls High Jump

Francis Mallory – 5th, Senior Boys Long Jump

Senior Girls 4x100m Relay – 5th
(Melina Daron, Amanda Syncox, Madison Veever, Isabella Perry)

Senior Boys 4x100m Relay – 5th
(Darren Joiner, Francis Mallory, Janssen Franson, Jacob Paille)

Levi Blouin – 8th, Junior Boys 300m Hurdles

Mélina Doiron – 6th, Senior Girls 100m; 4th, Senior Girls 200m

These results are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment demonstrated by our athletes, coaches, and supporters throughout the season.

Congratulations, Knights. This was another historic championship performance and one that will be remembered for years to come. We are incredibly proud of you.

Students in IB Biology were given a behind the scenes look at some special animals at the Toronto Zoo when they participated in Serengeti Bush Camp. In this unique overnight adventure, students slept side by side with rhinos, lions and hyenas. They learned a lot about animal adaptations and preservation programs to help protect endangered species.
