On Monday, the grades 5/6 Holy Cross soccer teams competed in the Bishop Alexander tournament. Holy Cross B team played so well in their first 3 games, putting them first in their division and making it into the quarter finals. They lost in a hard-fought quarter final game. The A team also played well in their first three games, placing them first in their division. The A team went on to battle in the sun and heat in the afternoon, making it all the way to the final match. The final game was so close, a back and forth match-up, where unfortunately we ran out of time to come back against a 3-2 lead. Congratulations on your Silver Medal Cubs ! ๐Ÿฅˆ โšฝ๏ธ Both teams played with such teamwork, grit and determination. Your coaches, Mrs. Paradis and Mrs. Zuliani, were so proud to lead these two teams. Well done Cubs!

Kindergarten students in Ms. Turcotte's and Mrs. Abbott's class had so much fun combining creativity, environmental awareness, and math during our special Earth Day Show & Tell projects! ๐ŸŒŽโ™ป๏ธ

While learning about 3D shapes, Earth Day and our Day of Action on Litter, students were challenged to create a project at home using recycled materials. The results were incredible! From robots and bird houses to vehicles and imaginative creations, students used items such as boxes, containers, tubes, and bottles to build unique 3D masterpieces.

During classroom presentations, students proudly explained the 3D shapes and recycled materials they used for their creations. It was wonderful to see their creativity, problem-solving, and confidence shine during their oral presentation.

We are so proud of all the hard work, teamwork, and thoughtful effort that went into these projects. Thank you to our families for supporting this meaningful learning experience at home!

Projects will be on display in the entrance of the school from May 19 - May 22.
