Today, a few of our Elementary NSL students proudly volunteered to sing the National Anthem in the Anishnaabemowin language in honour of Indigenous History Month. It was such a beautiful and meaningful way to begin our morning, and hearing their voices filled our school with pride and appreciation.
Throughout the day, our Indigenous Support Worker, Ms. Trudeau, and our NSL Teacher, Ms. Morrison, alongside a few dedicated student volunteers, worked tirelessly in the kitchen to prepare a traditional feast for our students to enjoy in celebration of Indigenous History Month. The menu featured hearty chili, freshly baked bannock, and sweet, fresh berries for dessert.
While the feast was being prepared, Ms. Morrison also introduced several of our Elementary classes to the game of βNish Ballβ. The students had an incredible time learning and playing, and their excitement and laughter filled the football field!
A heartfelt miigwech to Ms. Trudeau, Ms. Morrison, and our student volunteers for sharing their time, knowledge, and traditions to help create such a special day of learning, celebration, and community. β€οΈπͺΆπβ¨

Our team will be competing against some of the best robotics teams from around the world, including teams from New Zealand, Mexico, Israel, Romania, and many more. This is an amazing opportunity for our students to showcase their hard work, learn from elite teams, and represent our community on an international stage.
A huge thank you to Mr. Hucal and the Sudbury Catholic District School Board for their support in making this trip possible. We would also like to recognize our major sponsor and mentor, Michael Sweet of Lakeside Robotics, whose guidance and support have been invaluable throughout our season. Special thanks as well to Hatch for covering our registration costs and to More Than Concrete for their generous financial contribution.
This team has had an incredible first season, and we couldnβt have done it without the support of our sponsors, mentors, families, and community.
Be sure to cheer us on! Weβll be posting a live stream link in the coming days so you can follow the action and support Bearbotics from home .global
