Celebrating Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (April 12–18, 2026) — even if we’re a little late, the recognition is just as important. 🧪

Behind every diagnosis, treatment plan, and life-saving decision is a team of skilled professionals working diligently behind the scenes—the medical laboratory.

Each year in Ontario alone, over 280 million lab tests are performed, providing critical information that guides patient care. This incredible volume of work is made possible by dedicated Medical Laboratory Technologists and Medical Laboratory Assistants/Technicians, alongside a collaborative network of pathologists, clinical chemists, microbiologists, hematologists, and geneticists.
