Deacon Bruno has been leading Grade 9 religion classes each semester through the informative Alpha Youth Series as part of a 10-session experience. 🎥
Friendly Reminder! Our Lady of Hope is hosting a Secondary Student Spiritual Retreat on Friday, April 17th. It’s free, lunch is provided and students will be bussed back to SCC (students are responsible for arriving there at 8:15am).

Good luck to our secondary student SCC SKILLS TEAM heading to North Bay this weekend with Mr. Kohut [ConstructionSHSM] and Ms. C. Thompson [DigitalMediaSHSM] to compete in Skills Ontario North! 👏
Our TV/Film and Construction students are competing, with hopes of qualifying for Provincials in Toronto (May 4–6), where they’ll join our SCC Graphic Design, Photography and additional Construction competitors.
Our Construction Team of 4 (who were last year’s provincial bronze medalists) will be ready to compete again! 🔨🎬

Huge congratulations to our Grade 8 students, who are the Spirit Points winners for the month of March!
They truly demonstrated outstanding school spirit throughout the month and have earned a well-deserved reward -a free dress-down day on Wednesday, April 15th.
We are beyond honoured and incredibly proud to have received a Diamond Award Plaque this morning at Health Sciences North.
As a $100,000 donor, SCC has earned a large diamond plaque place on the TOP DONOR WALL at the cancer centre. Leadership Students alongside Mrs. J. Demore, Mrs Montgomery and Mrs. Humphrey stood together as the diamond plaque was unveiled. It was a moment filled with pride, emotion, and purpose.
Students were given an exclusive tour of the cancer centre, witnessing firsthand where their hard work and fundraising efforts went, from life-saving medical equipment, critical patient care resources and real spaces where hope is restored every single day.
This wasn’t just a visit to accept our award, it was reminder that what we do matters. That every effort counts. This unforgettable morning sparked inspiration, deepened understanding, and fueled our mission even further.

Christ is risen! ✝️ On Easter Sunday, we are reminded of the incredible gift of new life through the resurrection of Christ. Today we reflect on the hope and peace that comes with His victory over death, and the love He continues to offer us every day. In our family gatherings, prayers, and quiet moments of reflection, we find the grace to begin again, renewed in faith.
May this Easter bring you and your family peace, joy, and a deeper connection to the love of Christ.

The LSC students celebrated their Annual Easter Hunt, with amazing support from our Grade 12 students, along with Bowen and Maddox from Grade 7! It was a fantastic day filled with fun and excitement for everyone. 🐣
