Laurentian University - Université Laurentienne is enhancing campus accessibility with assistive listening and descriptive audio systems in five campus venues with the Royal Bank of Canada Barrier Buster Grant, presented by the Rick Hansen Foundation.
Users will be able to stream high quality audio directly to their own devices, which will remove barriers for individuals with both audio and visual impairments.

CROSH had a visit today from Deputy Minister David Wai of the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security. We enjoyed the opportunity to talk about our field-to-lab-to-field research model, and to show off our mobile research lab.

The Wawa FireRangers are more than ready for this year's fire season!
The CROSH crew visited the Ontario Forest Fires Fire Management Headquarters in Wawa and had a chance to observe a mock fire training exercise! This experience will help us better serve our Ontario Wildland FireRangers through research in Occupational Safety and Health.

Monday, June 1st is Injured Workers Day.
Every year on June 1st, Ontarians pay respect to the workers who have died or been injured while working. This will be the second annual day of recognition since Sudbury MPP Jamie West NDP introduced the bill.
There will be a 2026 Injured Workers Day rally at Queen's Park at 11am on June 1st, alongside sister events in Thunder Bay, Hamilton, London, and Windsor.

Our summer students got the chance to meet with Dr. Mark Hebert and Dr. Emily Tetzlaff today to talk about sleep cycles, shift work, and the ways blue light can reduce fatigue. We also got the chance to give them a tour of our workplace simulator and our mobile research unit, MCROSH. Thanks for the visit!
