⚽️ What a fantastic day on the soccer field for our Grade 3/4 and Grade 5/6 teams! ☀️
Our students represented our school with enthusiasm, determination, and great sportsmanship throughout the tournament. From exciting runs down the field to impressive saves and lots of teamwork, every game provided opportunities to learn, grow, and cheer each other on.
The players gave it their all, never stopped hustling, and showed incredible perseverance against some tough competition. Most importantly, they had fun, supported one another, and made us proud with their positive attitudes!

🌟🍎 What a month it’s been in Mme Franklin & Mme Teddy’s Kindergarten FI at St. Anne! 🍎🌟
Our little learners have been busy making memories, asking big questions, and proving that kindergarten is anything but ordinary!
🐣 We watched tiny chicks hatch right before our eyes and learned all about the life cycle.
🦋 We patiently waited for our butterflies to emerge from their cocoons, then celebrated as they spread their wings.
🔬 We explored and discovered during our adventures to Science North and Dynamic Earth, and even had Lake Laurentian Join us in our school yard, where curiosity was in full force!
🌿 We’ve been creating and enjoying our outdoor learning spaces, turning nature into our classroom.
From baby chicks to butterflies, science adventures to outdoor exploration, our classroom has been buzzing with excitement. It’s amazing to see how much our Kindergarten FI students have grown through hands-on learning, imagination, and play.
We can’t wait to see what adventures the rest of the year brings! 💛✨

🐒🌿 Welcome to the jungle of Kindergarten 🌿🐒
We had the pleasure of welcoming our newest St. Anne Kindergarten friends at our Welcome to Kindergarten Night! 🦁🦓🐘
Our little explorers swung through jungle-themed activity stations, tackling math, writing, and STEM challenges like true adventurers. They even braved a jungle safari hike through our outdoor learning spaces, where they encountered all kinds of amazing discoveries.
We’re in for a year full of curiosity, laughter, and the occasional mysterious stick or rock that absolutely must come home.
There is still time to register if you couldn’t make it and would like to tour the school call 705 969 2101
A huge thank you to all of the families who joined us. We can’t wait to start this exciting adventure together this fall! 💚🐾📚

Today our kindergarten students enjoyed a wonderful outdoor learning experience with Meg from Lake Laurentian Conservation Area Schoolyard Program! Through storytelling, nature exploration, and hands-on activities, students connected with our forest area by using their senses to complete a scavenger hunt, exploring mystery bags filled with natural items, and even taking time to appreciate, touch, and hug trees.
It was a meaningful morning of learning, discovery, and building a deeper connection with nature right in our schoolyard. 🌿💚

🚓👮♂️ Community Helpers in Action! 👮♂️🚓
On Thursday, our Grade 1/2 French Immersion students had a special visit from Constable Desrochers! As part of their learning about community helpers, students explored the important role police officers play in keeping our communities safe.
The class has been learning about police, fire, and ambulance services, including when and how to call 911 in an emergency. Constable Desrochers shared valuable information about his work, answered students’ questions, and helped deepen their understanding of how police officers support and protect our community.
A big thank you to Constable Desrochers for spending time with our students and for the thoughtful gifts of stickers, activity books, hats, and glasses. The students were excited to learn from a real-life community helper and came away with new knowledge and appreciation for the important work of first responders!

Today our Junior 5–6 students had the incredible opportunity to participate in a virtual art workshop with Anishinaabe visual artist Cody James Houle, an Artist Ambassador for the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund.
We were honoured to be selected as this month’s virtual workshop recipients! Using the four sacred colours, students created these beautiful landscape and birch tree paintings inspired by today’s teachings and artistic techniques. These beautiful pieces will also be featured in our upcoming Indigenous Art Showcase in June as part of our school’s reconciliACTION — supporting Indigenous creators and encouraging students to engage with and learn through Indigenous art.
Miigwetch to Cody for sharing his gifts, knowledge, and creativity with our students! And miigwetch to Downie Wenjack Fund for this opportunity. 🎨🌲✨
