Barrydowne College is a re-engagement secondary school with the Rainbow District School Board. When students have the opportunity to attend the school, they are working towards their high school diploma (OSSD) earning a total of 30 credits (18 compulsory and 12 electives). As a re-engagement school, it provides for some flexibility allowing students to work in a part-time or full-time Co-operative

At Barrydowne College, students gathered with their reusable water bottles to mark a meaningful moment together. As a school community, we talked about the importance of water. We also discussed the ongoing water challenges faced by some Northern communities, deepening our understanding of why this moment mattered. Then, at exactly 10:51 a.m., we all took a synchronized drink of tap water, symbolizing both gratitude and awareness.
