If you are a user of the Ida Street access point to the Lake Laurentian Conservation Area please have a look at our new sign 🪧 that went up earlier today. It acknowledges the generosity of our good friend Bernie Langlois and provides some other information too.

Want to be like Bernie? There are two QR codes that you can use to help our ongoing improvements to this end of the LLCA. One will let you pay-what-you-can for the parking your vehicle. 🚗 The second lets you contribute to our goal of making a section of the trail easier to use for everyone ♿️

Thank you & enjoy the trails! 🇨🇦 🍁 🌲

Perdue Peak Challenge 06/28/2024

Vince Perdue is no stranger to Lake Laurentian's trails, spending hours running here daily. The running community in Sudbury wants to honour Vince and his late wife Lise by renaming the lookout on the 10 km Loop as "Perdue Peak" All donations made will stay at Lake Laurentian and are tax deductible.

Lake Laurentian Conservation Area is a great place to get some mental health green time. Ontario's Conservation Areas

Angela Coleman, Conservation Ontario’s general manager, celebrated the relaunch of the Mood Walks Program on May 22. Mood Walks is a provincewide initiative promoting physical activity in nature, or “green exercise,” to improve physical and mental health. Conservation Ontario is thrilled to partner on this initiative alongside the Canadian Mental Health Association – ON Division and Hike Ontario. 🌳🚶‍♂️

We were very lucky in 2023 to have such a dedicated team of hardworking volunteers.

We had a total of 182 occasions where volunteers came out for a total of over 700 volunteer hours! Wow!

Thank you to all who helped in 2023! We hope you and others will join us again in 2024!
