Thanks to Wabi Iron and Steel Corp. for hosting some of the Cambrian R&D team for a tour of their foundry and facilities this week.

Wabi has had more than a century of engineering and innovation in Temiskaming Shores, becoming a global leader in the manufacturing of loading and conveyance systems for the mining industry around the world.

Looking forward to forging a strong partnership for years to come.

🌟 Sudbury Business Highlight 🌟

The Hanson Venture Lab at Cambrian College had an incredible visit with one of our inspiring intake students, Emilie Dorion, founder of Valixya - Sudbury's metaphysical shop offering handcrafted spiritual products, holistic services, and a welcoming space for healing and connection 💚

Emilie is a current Massage Therapy student at Cambrian and a passionate entrepreneur who has built Valixya into a thriving business in Sudbury. Through supports at the Hanson Venture Lab, she's now taking the next step by expanding her business to include a massage therapy and wellness clinic 🌿💆‍♀️

This visit was especially exciting as Emilie celebrates Valixya's 3rd anniversary this Saturday! 🎉 To mark the milestone, she's hosting a special anniversary event, "A Journey Through Magic at Valixya,” this Saturday from 10 am – 6 pm. ✨ Today, we welcomed local high school students to Level Up at Cambrian College - an exciting experiential learning event designed to introduce future students to the world of business and entrepreneurship!

Students had the opportunity to tour the Hanson Venture Lab and learn more about the services and supports available to aspiring student entrepreneurs, including:

✔️ One-on-one advising
✔️ Workshops and skill-building opportunities
✔️ Mentorship and networking
✔️ Resources to help bring ideas to life

We were also excited to welcome Edlira from the Regional Business Centre - Sudbury who shared information about the Summer Company program - an incredible opportunity that provides students with up to $3,000 in funding to help launch their own business 💼

It was inspiring to connect with so many business-savvy students who are already thinking creatively, asking great questions, and exploring what’s possible for their future.
