We had the honour of attending Canadian Multiculturalism Day 2025 at Tom Davies Square, hosted by the Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Arts Association. It was an inspiring morning surrounded by vibrant cultures, meaningful conversations, and a shared commitment to inclusion and diversity.

Special thanks to all the organizers, speakers, and participants for making this event such a powerful reminder of what brings us together. We're proud to be part of a community that values unity in diversity.

The Government of Canada has just launched two significant immigration pilots: the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) and the Francophone Community Immigration

🚨 Important Immigration Update for Northern Ontario! 🇨🇦
The federal government has just announced the new Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) in Thunder Bay, with the program extending to multiple Northern Ontario communities, including ours, Sudbury!

What we know about this new program:
✅It's a 5-year federal pilot program
✅Being introduced in 18 communities
✅Includes Sudbury, Timmins, and Sault Ste. Marie in Northern Ontario
✅Focused on providing communities with permanent residence pathways
✅Aims to help employers attract and retain newcomers who can fill key labour gaps
✅Employers must complete training to qualify before making permanent job offers
👉 This program replaces the former Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) that ended last summer.
