πŸ’™ 30 YEARS OF INSPIRED
Our Social Justice Projects have always been about more than giving β€” they’re about connection. πŸ’™πŸ’›

During COVID - students had the opportunity to look beyond themselves, connect with seniors in our community, and discover how meaningful it can be to give back.

Whether supporting seniors with yarn to create items for those in need, helping reduce isolation with puzzles or simply bringing generations together, these projects teach something that can’t always be learned in a classroom: compassion, kindness and community.

For 30 years, the Foundation has helped create opportunities for students to make a difference β€” and in doing so, discover the difference they can make. πŸ’›

Building connections. Giving back. Inspiring the next generation.

30 YEARS OF Igniting Possibilities.
πŸ§‘β€πŸ©°Through the Power of the Arts

Celebrating a Legacy of Support

As we celebrate 30 years of supporting students, we look back at the grant funding received through the Community Facility Enhancement Program for theatre lighting at the KMSC Performing Arts Theatre.

The Foundation has continued that commitment through the development of a Performing Arts Fund, supporting and enhancing student programming.

πŸ’‘ 30 Years of Igniting Possibilities

As we continue celebrating 30 years of supporting students, we’re highlighting another project made possible through the Grande Prairie & District Education Foundation and our InspirED pillar.

From Grant Funding to a Place to Play

The Foundation was proud to secure an incredible $110,000 grant from Co-op Community Spaces to help build the Sports Court at St. Kateri Mission Heights School.

That’s the power of grant funding. When we bring partners, schools and community together, we can turn an idea into something that benefits students today β€” and for years to come.

For 30 years, the Foundation has worked to bring additional resources into our schools, enhance educational experiences and create opportunities that may not otherwise be possible.

πŸ’™ $110,000 invested into our community.
πŸ’› A lasting space for students and community.
✨ Another possibility ignited.

Together we build stronger futures.

30 Years of Igniting Possibilities!

As we continue to celebrate this milestone, we’re looking back at some of the incredible projects our Foundation has been proud to support through our InspirED Pillar.

Our first highlight: Lighting the Way for Student Athletics

Did you know the Foundation was part of the CKC committee - sponsorship campaign, for what is now known as Hansen Lincoln Field?

Through our grant funding efforts, the Foundation secured funding for field lights β€” an investment that continues to make a difference for student athletes today.

Here in Northern Alberta, fall brings shorter days and limited daylight. Those lights meant practices and games didn’t have to end when the sun went down.

This is what InspirED is all about: seeing what’s possible, removing barriers and helping great ideas become realities for students. πŸ’™πŸ’›

For 30 years, we’ve been proud to invest in opportunities that extend beyond the classroom and enrich the educational experience.

✨ 30 years of supporting students.
30 years of igniting possibilities.
And we’re just getting started.
Together we build stronger futures.

πŸ’™πŸ’› Meet Our Realtor & Past Board Member β€” DJ Golden! πŸ’›πŸ’™

Sometimes the people who know your mission best are the ones who step up when you need them most.

We can’t thank Don Golden of DJ Golden Real Estate Group – RE/MAX Grande Prairie enough for helping our Foundation find a new space where we can continue doing what matters most: supporting students and removing barriers to education.

Our After School Program helps provide snacks and meals to children who may not know where their next meal is coming from. ❀️

DJ, thank you for continuing to stand behind our Foundation and the students we serve.

Hunger doesn’t end when the school bell rings.

Teachers, where do all the pencils go?! πŸ˜‚βœοΈ

We asked teachers what classroom supplies they need most, and PENCILS were high on the list!

Thanks to the Education Foundation, each of the 13 Catholic schools is receiving $4,000 for classroom supplies! πŸ’š

πŸ‘‡ Teachers β€” what supply seems to disappear fastest in YOUR classroom?
