🍎 Every teacher starts somewhere.

For many, it starts with another teacher. Someone who encouraged them, challenged them or showed them what was possible.

This World Teachers’ Day, we asked NWP Education students who inspired them to choose teaching.

Their answers remind us that the impact of a great teacher can reach far beyond one classroom.

And maybe one day, another student will say your name. 💙💛🩷

12,000 reasons to be grateful! 🌟

Thank you, Grande Prairie CSHM , for investing in our students!

We were so happy to have Lee, Tyrel and Tyler from CSHM stop by to present us with $12,000 in scholarship funds for NWP's third- and fourth-year Instrumentation students.

This investment will continue to help remove barriers for students while recognizing excellence in Skilled Trades education.

Thank you, CSHM, for investing in the next generation of industry professionals and strengthening our region's workforce. 🛠️

📷(L-R): Cindy Park, NWP Vice-President of External Relations; Lee Billwiller and Tyrel Vandemark of CSHM; Curran Speager, NWP Instructor; and Tyler Friesen of CSHM.

Quick reflexes or sheer luck?🔵⚡

Our student ambassador, Brandy, challenged members of the Wolfpack to a rapid-fire game of This or That... with a catch - literally! 😄

Watch to see how many pop-it balls our students managed to catch as well as all the hilarious misses along the way.

Making history on the world stage.🌎🔧

Congratulations to NWP's Luke Emeny, on placing 10th in Heavy Vehicle Technology at the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China.

Representing Canada, Luke earned 699 points, finishing just one point below the threshold for an Award of Excellence.

Luke’s path to the international stage included gold at Skills Alberta's provincial competition and bronze at the Skills Canada's national competition. He is the first Northwestern Polytechnic student to compete internationally in Heavy Vehicle Technology, an achievement that reflects his technical ability, dedication and preparation.

NWP also recognizes instructors Richard McGrail and Jeremy Parker, who travelled to China to support Luke throughout the competition.

Congratulations, Luke, on this significant accomplishment and on representing NWP, Alberta, and Canada internationally.
