As a Ukrainian dance studio here in Canada, every step, leap, and spin we teach is our way of cherishing and preserving the spirit of Ukraine. We are deeply grateful to be part of a country that stood by Ukraine from day one and continues to offer unwavering support.

Tomorrow, Ukraine will celebrate 35 years since the restoration of its independence 🇺🇦

These years have made one thing clear: independence cannot be taken for granted. It must be cherished and defended – something Ukrainians continue to do every day.

In this struggle, the support of our friends and partners is of tremendous importance. It was so 35 years ago, and it remains so today.

We are sincerely grateful that Canada became the first Western country to officially recognise independent Ukraine in the first days after the results of the nationwide referendum were announced.

35 years of independence mark 35 years of our shared modern history, diplomacy, and the development of partnerships that make us stronger.

Huge thanks to Miss Kjersten, Miss Sophia, Natalie and Makenna for running such a fun summer camp for Troyanda!! The kids had a blast making new friends, exploring their culture and putting on a concert for their parents!

A few of our dancers took part in the celebrations at the Ukrainian Village this past Sunday marking the 135th anniversary of Ukrainian immigration to Canada. It was a perfect day with beautiful weather, delicious food, and delightful entertainment. The dancers were excellent representatives of Troyanda and got to enjoy the museum before taking to the stage.

We love to see what our littles can bring to our studio and the parents are always the best at wanting to get involved 🥰

As parents are making that important decision...should I sign my 2 year old up for dance class? I know they are asking "What can a two-year-old really do in dance class?” This is one of the biggest misconceptions we hear from parents. And the answer might surprise you. In a quality, age-appropriate dance class, a two-year-old can follow multi-step instructions...often four steps in a row...like in this video. Watch closely and you’ll see them: • Step on a pattern of floor dots in order • Move to stepping stones while practicing passé... bringing their toe to their knee (or simply learning controlled stepping) • Walk carefully across a balance beam • Then tackle the most challenging part: lining up on the blue line and performing a chassé... bringing their feet together, then apart, in a smooth, continuous motion. And they don’t do this alone. They do it together. In a line. With focus and confidence. When you think back to their very first class.. the wandering, the uncertainty, the need to hold a hand.. the growth is nothing short of astronomical. Not because they were rushed. Not because expectations were too high. But because they were given a chance. 💛🩰✨

Lucky for all the Troyanda dads, no stress walks are needed!! We strive to keep our fees low to make our classes accessible to all.

Thanks to our incredible families who step up to the plate to help out at events, fundraising, and for studio maintenance so that we are able to continue to keep our fees low!

She made every team she wanted. Added another dance. And honestly, we couldn’t be more proud of her. Financially? Different conversation. I’m currently outside with a drink trying to determine which organs still have resale value. #DadLife #YouthSports #SportsParents #DanceComp #DanceDad
