This afternoon we took a special “surprise” opportunity to thank and recognize Miss Terra for all that she has done to support Montessori programming not only at Parkside but in the Grande Prairie Public School Division. Our students celebrated her by singing “Light A Candle for Peace”, a special song in our school community and in Montessori communities around the world. Student representatives presented her with some gifts to take with her to her new role. We are grateful for Miss Terra’s heart for our students and her passion for Montessori education. We will miss you Miss Terra!

🐥💛 A Little Cuteness to Start the Week! 💛🐥 Casa 2 friends loved every moment with their adorable chicks! 🐣 While they’ve now returned to the farm, they definitely left behind lots of smiles and special memories. 😊 What a wonderful hands-on learning experience for our students! 💚

🌿✨ Miss Trisha & Miss Laura's afternoon Casa friends had an awesome field trip to the Comp on Thursday! Thank you to Mr. Vobeyda for warmly welcoming us into the courtyard and sharing the stories behind the tipi and totem pole, and to Mr. Thomson for showing us land based learning in action. From storytelling and dot art to hands on exploration, it was a meaningful day of connection. A special thank you to Eleanor’s mom, Ms. Harrison, for the incredible bannock dough cinnamon buns. They were a huge hit! 💛
As we head into Indigenous Peoples Day this Sunday, we feel truly grateful for this experience.
