Mme Sylvia was awarded the Excellence in Education award through Rotary! Thank you Mme for all you do - your influence is great and the school community is blessed because of you!

✨Each year School Council nominates an individual for the dedication, work, and love they pour into the school and students!

“Foundations for Life staff will discuss tips for how parents can keep kids safe online and recommendations for device safety, video games, and social media. We will take a look at what harmful effects viewing unsafe images online has on a developing brain, and discuss healthy ways to respond to inappropriate content online.”

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week 2026! The school community at École St-Gérard is something special!

We wanted to take a moment and mention something BIG! We worked hard on a government grant application - and we were successful in receiving the FULL amount we asked for. This is huge for the playground replacement project! More details to come but for now we wanted to give a shout out to YourAlberta (Government of Alberta) for these funds for a project that will benefit the whole City of Grande Prairie and area community.

I am happy to present a $218,808 check from the Government of Alberta to the École St. Gérard Playground Fundraising Society. This investment will benefit the school and create a welcoming playground for the whole community to enjoy.

I want to thank the École St. Gérard Playground Fundraising Society for their hard work on this project. These parents deeply care about our community, and I am very thankful for their work on getting this playground project off the ground for our community! Very well done to all of you.
