What does Grande Prairie & Area Safe Communities do?

We help children, youth, and families build the knowledge and confidence to stay safe through hands-on programs, school presentations, community events, and Safety City.

From learning traffic safety in our mini town to Home Alone Safety, Babysitting Basics, Car Seat Safety, and more, we're committed to creating safer kids, stronger families, and a safer community.

Safety education starts with prevention.

Whether you're expecting, have a newborn, or are navigating the next stage with a toddler or older child, our certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) are here to help ensure your child's car seat, booster seat, or seatbelt fits properly and is installed correctly.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the County Firefighters for spending time with our Summer Camp campers this summer!

Thank you for teaching the kiddos about fire safety, showing them what it takes to be a firefighter, and giving them an inside look at the important work you do to keep our community safe.
