Meghan is our Program Coordinator — she runs the front desk, facilitates our Champion Leadership Academy, and helps coordinate our camps.

🙏 THANK YOU, Best Western & Naomi Ducklow.
A generous donation of fitness equipment recently came to Champion Gym from Best Western Grande Prairie , facilitated by Naomi Ducklow — given with our kids in mind. Our programs are built around martial arts, boxing, and youth athletics, so rather than keep it, we passed it along to a good home. Every dollar raised goes toward creating opportunities for local kids to train, build confidence, and find positive role models here at Champion Gym.
For nearly 20 years, Champion Gym has kept one simple principle: no child is turned away because their family is going through a difficult time. Sometimes that's a single parent, sometimes grandparents raising grandchildren. We don't advertise who they are, and we don't discuss their circumstances — we simply help where we can.
💪 Big thanks to our own Asphalt Pro crew — Devon, Omari, and Joseph — who tore the equipment down and are setting it back up at its new home. And a massive shout-out to Randy at Anarchy Mechanical — hands down the best heavy-duty mechanics in Grande Prairie — who stepped up to buy the equipment in support. If you need heavy-duty work done right, these are your people.

🥊 PROUD OF OUR FIGHTERS 🥊
Couldn't be prouder of this team. Last night, for the first time, two of our own stepped into the cage at XFC and represented Champion Gym with everything they had.
Conner Werklund went to battle and came up short on the cards, but left nothing behind. He took the fight to a tough opponent and showed the heart that defines this team. It takes real courage to walk in there — respect, Conner.
Dylan Lightfoot put on a clinic and earned a dominant unanimous decision (30-24, 30-25, 30-25). Composed, sharp, and in control from the first bell to the last. 👏
A shout-out too to Timber Bigfoot, who trains with us when in GP, and with great power and respect, picked up a win in his kickboxing bout. Always great to see you work. 👊
None of it happens without the corner. Huge credit to Coach Alex, who trained both fighters and had them ready, and to Coach Jonathan for his assistance on the night. This is what a team looks like.
Nights like this are why we do what we do. Proud of you all. 🏆

🎓 CONGRATULATIONS to our Champion Leadership Academy graduates! Our young leaders earned this milestone through hard work, focus, and showing up for each other — banners painted, smiles wide, and a whole lot of pride in the room.
This is what Champion Gym is about: building confident, capable kids who lead on and off the mats. So proud of every one of you. 👏
This year our students learned more than most people expect from a youth program — Abacus mental math, multiple language arts, lots of reading and one-on-one tutoring, communication and people skills built on Carnegie principles, mathematics, science, and real leadership and character development… all blended with daily martial arts and physical training.
