I was so very excited to make a super special treat for the kids…. Worms in dirt! My absolute favourite dessert as a child! Chocolate pudding, crumbled chocolate chip cookies and gummy worms. So much sugar that it’s something I very rarely do, which is why it’s such a special treat…
The kids wouldn’t eat it! 🤣😂🤣

I was sooooo excited for this, soo excited to share this special childhood memory of mine with the kids, and they wouldn’t eat this yummy dessert hahaha! I tried 🤷🏼‍♀️

When you are feeding a small army of children… letting them build their own buns is the perfect win win. I don’t have to make the sandwiches (except the four pb&j ones on the table), the kids get to pick what they want and don’t have to eat what they don’t like. Kids love options!!

One of my most favourite things about when schools out is seeing my “OG”’s! 😆 the littles who are grown, going to schools not in the neighbourhood or moved away etc. I miss them all so much, so I’m grateful for summer and holidays.

Best part of my day today was when one of my 10yr olds who I started caring for at 2yrs, said that this is like her second home and family. 🥰🥹

I feel the exact same way about the children I care for and their families. I always say they are my “extended families” lol. Just means the world to me to know that the kids feel exactly how I hope they feel when they are here. ♥️

Here is a picture to prove how much they feel at home here. Had the splash pad going, water balloons out and here the girls come and sit with me and pull weeds from the rocks! I didn’t even ask 🥰 I’ve always watched the best of the best children.

Father’s Day gift making! The older kids opted to make “DAD” string art pictures. The littles made picture holders and keychains like they did for Mother’s Day since they had so much fun with it the first time!
