June 21, 2026, is National Indigenous Peoples Day.

We honour and celebrate the history, heritage, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

We’ve put together a collection of resources to support learning and reflection. We’re also highlighting a powerful Cree language learning app from the Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council Education Authority, featuring over 900 words and phrases spoken by Cree Elders and rooted in land-based learning.

June 5, 2026, is a Professional Learning (PL) Day — no classes will be held for students. PL days support GPPSD staff in their ongoing professional growth and school improvement efforts, helping every student succeed.
