Good morning, parents!
As we begin another school year, we are asking everyone to please, please, please slow down and be extremely mindful around the school.
The safety of our children has to come before convenience. Please do not park in the bus lane not even for 30 seconds. The bus lane is there for a reason, and stopping or parking there creates a dangerous situation for children, buses, and other vehicles.
Please pay close attention to all parking signs and designated areas.Do not park where you are not permitted to, and please do not block the driveways of our neighbours.We want to be respectful of the community around our school as well.
Most importantly, watch for children crossing the road.Kids can be unpredictable, easily distracted, and sometimes difficult to see. Please slow down, stay alert, and give them plenty of space to cross safely.
We are asking everyone to take an extra few seconds to think about where you are parking, how fast you are driving, and whether you can clearly see the children around you.
There is nowhere we need to be that is more important than making sure every child gets to and from school safely.
Please. Slow down. Pay attention. Follow the signs. Keep the bus lane clear. Keep the driveways clear. Watch the crossings.
We all want the same thing: for every child to walk through those school doors in the morning and make it safely home at the end of the day.
Let's start this school year by looking out for ALL of our kids.❤️
