I finally got 8hrs of sleep… it only took me 3 days 😅 On this day 2yrs ago I posted my first mommy parody and never looked back.😜 If you’re new here- one thing about me is that I use a lot of music and humor to cope with the difficulties of motherhood and life in general. The first parody I ever wrote and recorded was to TLC Scrubs - I recorded it on an old answering machine (super fancy lol). The lyrics were inspired by this smelly bully at my school who literally needed to SCRUB 🧼. They were just a stinky individual both inside and out and it was my way of getting back at them (even if I was the only one to ever hear it lol)😅. So yeah, this is just how my brain works. Music always feels like the best way to tell a story or act as some sort of therapy imo … and yes, I’ve always been like this 🙃 Shoutout to my mamas who feel this… if it helps- your littles will start to sleep eventually and then you’ll begging them to wake up once they hit like 14 🤦🏽‍♀️#gofigure

As a birth doula, I've witnessed journeys into motherhood, each one a testament to the incredible strength and resilience of the human body. Yet, in our modern society, we've somehow turned the miracle of birth into something daunting, something to fear.

But let's take a step back and reconnect with the wisdom ingrained within us. Birth is not just a biological process; it's a profound journey of trust and balance. Our bodies, beautifully designed, know exactly what to do.

Let's reclaim that trust in our bodies, in our innate ability to bring forth life. Let's honor the natural rhythm of birth, allowing it to unfold with grace and power.

As a doula, I stand not just as a guide, but as a reminder that birth is not to be feared, but embraced. It's time to shift the narrative from fear to empowerment, from uncertainty to trust. Together, let's restore the balance and celebrate the incredible journey of birth. 🤍🤎

I hired Kathryn as my doula through this last pregnancy as I was so scared and had some trauma from the previous birth of my son. She was with me every step of the way. She informed me of things and questions I had never been asked before when I had my previous pregnancy. She encouraged me to really feel out what it is I wanted in this pregnancy, helped me create a birth plan, gave me confidence, and stood by me and was a voice for my wishes. When we got the hospital to deliver, Kathryn was a voice of reason, a calming soul in the room who helped me through the pain with stretches, counter pressure, affirmations and words of encouragement. To make the space as relaxing as possible, this heck of a woman added string lights to the hospital bed, brought a galaxy light to light up the room and a speaker for my music playlist. Kathryn helped me so much with my birthing confidence, she has been so informative with any questions I may have, and I’m so grateful she was by my side. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Gratitude overflows for this amazing lady. Thank you so much for helping bring Aubrielle into this world, my heart is FULL!"
