Frazer said it’s easy to fall into a routine where you don’t really notice that your nutrition and exercise habits have started to slip.

Between work, kids, and everyday life, taking care of yourself can slowly move to the bottom of the list. Even with gym equipment at home, Frazer found it difficult to stay consistent.

When he noticed his clothes starting to feel tighter, he knew it was time to make a change. That’s when he joined our 16 Week Program.

Just 4.5 weeks in, Frazer has lost 14 lbs and 5% body fat. Even better, the shoulder pain he had been dealing with has improved.

Our next 16 Week Program starts September 7. You can join us in person here at VO2 Max in Grande Prairie, AB, or participate online from anywhere in the world. Comment “September” and we’ll send you all the details.

Most people ask, “How much cardio should I do?”, but the better question is: “What is actually limiting you?”

Conditioning shouldn’t be a one-size-fits-all approach.

Two people can have the exact same goal but need completely different conditioning strategies based on what’s holding their performance back.

It could be oxygen delivery.
It could be how well the muscles utilize oxygen.
It could be respiration.
Or something else entirely.

That’s why assessment matters.

Instead of asking, “Which energy system should I train?”

Ask: “What is actually limiting this person, and what do they need to improve?”

That’s where effective conditioning starts.

We live in a world of fast food, same-day delivery, and instant entertainment. We’ve become accustomed to getting what we want quickly and easily.

But fitness doesn’t work that way.

Your results aren’t going to be handed to you. You have to earn them.

You have to train when you don’t feel like it.
You have to stay disciplined with your nutrition.
You have to continue to show up when progress feels slow.
You have to make the right choices, even when the easier choice is right there.

There’s no shortcut around the work.

The results come from the work you’re willing to put in.

And that’s exactly what makes them worth having.

Jason joined VO2 Max nearly a decade ago and has been a consistent part of our community ever since. He starts his day with the 5 AM class, putting in the work, grabbing a quick shower, and heading straight to his job.

Jason originally joined VO2 Max through one of our bootcamps, and from there, he moved into On-Ramp, where he learned the foundational CrossFit movements. He eventually transitioned into our 5 AM Functional Performance class, which he continues to attend to this day.

Nearly a decade later, Jason is still showing up, working hard, and making his health and performance a priority.

You don’t need more time. You need to make a decision.

There will always be something competing for your attention.

Work. Kids. Family. Unexpected problems. Busy seasons.

If you’re waiting for life to calm down before you prioritize your health, you could be waiting forever.

The people who create lasting change aren’t the ones with more time. They’re the ones who decide their health matters enough to make time.

Stop asking, “How can I fit this in when I have time?”

Start asking, “How can I make this a priority?”

Our next 16 Week Program starts September 7.

Comment “SEPTEMBER” and we’ll send you the details.
