Congratulations to Mark Ambarak, a grade 5 French Immersion student in Mme Warren's class this year, who competed in Montréal in a mental math competition (called the Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System) and placed first runner-up in all of Canada! We are so proud of him, and wish him and his family all the best as they move to Ottawa this summer.

Tomorrow (Tuesday, June 23), we are holding our annual Sports Day! Students will be outside for most of the day. They should come dressed for the weather, wear sneakers, sunscreen, a hat and bring a bottle of water.
The Grand Falls-Windsor Fire Department will be providing ONE hot dog snack per student during lunch. If your child has any dietary concerns, please contact the school.

Breakfast Program
Today, Friday, June 19, we will be serving our last breakfast at Sprucewood Academy for this school year.
We would like to thank KES, Community, parents, and student Volunteers who came out to help in any way, and to our program coordinator, Ms. Antle, for her dedication to purchasing to keep our shelves stocked.
Thank you all for your dedication and support in making our program so successful. We hope to see all volunteers back again next year as well. We always have room for new volunteers.

Lunch Program Today, Friday, June 19, will be the last day of Cafeteria Service. We would like to thank our SWA cafeteria staff for all their hard work during this school year. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you in September.

The run club finale will go ahead tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17th (for students who registered). Students must bring everything they need for Run Club when they come to school in the morning, as they will NOT be permitted to use the phone for this purpose. The final run will take place during regular school hours.
