A young man in our community, Avery Sherriff-Craft, is currently battling leukemia, and this Saturday we’re coming together to help Avery and his family during this incredibly difficult time.

We want to see HUNDREDS of kids and families come out, have some fun and, most importantly, rally around a local family that needs our support. ❤️

💗 TOGETHER, WE MADE A DIFFERENCE! 💗

Today was truly something special at Grand Bay Blossoms. What started as a simple Pizza with a Cause fundraiser became so much more — it became an opportunity for our children to learn about kindness, compassion, empathy, and what it means to come together to support someone in our community.

Thanks to the generosity of our Blossoms families, staff, and the Grand Bay–Westfield community, we were able to raise an incredible $3,515.47 to support Avery Sherriff-Craft and his family as Avery receives treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) at the IWK.

We are beyond grateful to everyone who donated, contributed, purchased a lunch, shared our fundraiser, or simply encouraged our efforts. Every act of kindness made a difference. 💗

Most importantly, our children got to experience firsthand that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a BIG impact.

Thank you for helping us show our children what community, compassion, and caring truly look like.

We are so incredibly proud of our Blossoms family! 🌸💗

One of our own, Avery Sherriff- Craft — an original Blossoms child — was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and is now receiving treatment at the IWK. In an instant, life for Avery and his family has been turned upside down.

When something sudden and serious happens to a child who was part of the Blossoms Family, it reminds us how fragile life is and how quickly families can become overwhelmed emotionally, physically, and financially. We want to come together to support Avery and his family during this very difficult time.

Today some of our Grand Bay Blossoms educators will be walking in support of Muscular Dystrophy — walking on behalf of a little boy from our preschool program who has changed our lives. He’s incredibly sweet and brave, and we’re honored to walk alongside his family today. If our families or community members are able to donate, please consider supporting this cause. As we wrap up Early Childhood Education Week, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we've shared. Last week was a wonderful celebration of all that our educators do, and it reminds me of why I treat them the way I do.

I want all of our educators at Blossoms to know how deeply I appreciate their dedication and hard work. Yesterday morning their thoughtfulness shone through in the beautiful video they had created, holding up beautiful letters — heartfelt reminders that appreciation goes both ways. Thank you for taking the time to show me how much you value me, and your role at Blossoms. 🌸🤍

I strive to create a supportive and nurturing environment because I want my educators to pass that kindness along to the children, families, and each other. We’re all human, and together we learn and grow. Every success, big or small, deserves to be celebrated, and I hope my educators at Blossoms felt celebrated last week.

I’m extremely thankful for my Blossoms family and the community we’ve built together. This place truly feels like home, and it’s the educators warmth, love, and dedication that make it so special.

As we move forward, let’s continue to support, appreciate, and love one another. Help each other through tough times, just as we encourage our children to do. I truly believe when educators feel supported, happy, and confident in their roles, it creates a warm, loving environment for the children to learn and grow.
