This week at Tiny Treasures Learning Centre has been full of joy, gratitude, and heartfelt celebration as we honoured the incredible team of educators who make a lasting difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.
Our educators are the very heart of Tiny Treasures. They are nurturers, role models, and the reason our centre feels like home.
Tiny Treasures was founded in 1997 by Roxy Ring, beginning in the basement of her home as a simple act of love. As our community’s need for quality child care grew, so did our space, leading to a strong, ongoing partnership with Grand Bay Baptist Church.
As a non-profit early learning centre, our mission has always been about service. Everything we do is rooted in love, community, and care and our educators have always been a living example of that mission.
They bring compassion, creativity, and dedication to their work every single day. More than colleagues, we are truly a family, a close-knit team that laughs together, supports one another, and shares a deep commitment to the well-being of every child in our care.
This week, we wanted to show our educators just how valued they are with the help of some incredible support from our families and church community. Here’s how we celebrated them:
Monday – The week kicked off with 1 hour of paid free time for our staff, greeted by a delicious apple bar and a loaded treat station featuring candy, brownies, and other treats, a perfect “sweet start” to the week!
Tuesday – Each educator received a beautiful gift bag filled with items and treats, generously donated by Lawtons and The Medicine Shoppe.
Wednesday – A special surprise lunch was provided by one of our wonderful families! Plus, each staff member received a gift certificate to Totally You Skin Care, our amazing local spa, for a manicure or pedicure, because they deserve to be pampered!
Thursday – We hosted a cheerful and refreshing Lemonade Bar, complete with a spread of delicious snacks, baked goods, and sweets to keep the mid-week energy flowing.
Friday – We wrapped up the week with custom Tiny Treasures t-shirts, homemade cookies, more lemonade, candy, chips, and a few extra surprise goodies!
To our educators: thank you for your passion, your patience, and the love you pour into each day. You help shape bright futures, and your impact is felt in every smile, every milestone, and every moment in our centre.
To our Church family, Board of Directors and Supportive families, thank you for helping us celebrate our team in such a meaningful way. Your kind words, thoughtful gestures, and generous gifts made this week truly unforgettable.
We are honoured to be a part of this incredible community.
