Hello,
Here is my most recent blog post, where I cover some fairly general points that are an attempt to answer questions or comments I often hear...
Basically, what is the purpose of this practice (creative journaling)?
Enjoy the read... and feel free to add other reasons for practicing in the comments if you have any 🙂

Is the New Creative Journal for You? - Journal Créatif
Today, I want to address these phrases I hear all the time: “I can’t find the time,” “I’m not good at drawing,” “I’m not creative,” “I don’t really see the point,” “I’d like to try it, but I don’t know where to start,” “It’s like scrapbooking, isn’t it?” Every...

The art of copying—nothing less!
In our journal, we can do whatever we want, and when we feel like reproducing an image more realistically, why not copy it? Here are a few little tips for doing just that.
Personally, I like to add “copied” elements from time to time, especially because of the quality of the line work (so pretty!), and when I don’t want a cut-out image but rather a part of the image or an artistic effect without overthinking it...

My pages this morning… wow, they did me so much good!
I did Julia Cameron’s Morning Pages for a few years before moving into full-time creative journaling 😅
Sometimes I feel the urge to go back to that mind-clearing, heart-clearing writing process. But I don’t like rereading myself, nor do I like the idea that someone else might read it, so I use the illegible writing technique. It’s incredibly effective for releasing things… you’re truly in a “zero censorship” space because nothing is readable.
So this morning I started with that — automatic illegible writing — and it felt good. I sensed that I was moving “to the other side” (as Cameron says) of my state of fatigue and my ruminating over a situation… On the other side, I found calm, acceptance, light — even a very sweet love for life as it is…
Then I looked for images and words that expressed these feelings, working with whatever came my way… and then I experienced that amazing feeling I get when I truly dive deeply into a journaling process. I looked at my pages and I smiled.
Yes, it takes time — and I don’t always dive this deeply… but this morning, once again, I’m reminded of the power of the process when you go all the way with it.
I felt like sharing it!
Happy Saturday everyone

Here's my latest video on how to use CHALK PASTELS in creative journaling. I focused on the expressive qualities of this medium rather than its artistic possibilities.
Let me know what you think, or if you use them differently :)

Hello everyone 🌿
I’m happy to share a video from one of my recently certified students. She lives in England and practices in English, and it’s such a joy to see her bring her own voice and sensitivity to this work.
In this video, she explores an exercise from my book Wellness Through New Creative Journaling and transforms it beautifully in her own way. I love witnessing how each person makes these practices their own — it’s exactly what this creative journey is about.
If you’d like to discover her approach and be inspired, you can subscribe to her channel and follow her work.
Wonderful work Nathalie!

SHARE OF THE DAY
The pace is slowing down. I’ve been in my journal since this morning, and I feel like sharing this exercise with you… very simple, meditative, and deeply nourishing for me.
Here are the steps:
Draw one or two circles using ink (or acrylic), blot the excess or adjust the lines with a brush.
Glue a short sentence in the center (or write one) that speaks to you, that makes you want to write.
Write your reflections around the circle, using illegible writing if you wish. Let the words carry you, guide you.
Make this a meditative, philosophical, introspective exercise, connected to your heart and your presence.
Enjoy!

How the New Creative Journal Sparks Creativity - Journal Créatif
The New Creative Journal is not like other journals. It is neither a static notebook nor a diary filled with checklists. It is a living, colourful, profound space: an intimate place where you can settle down, explore yourself and surprise yourself.
