I’m grateful to be part of a mental-health team that supports people in more than 40 countries through convenient video and telephone sessions.
We work with individuals who are feeling stuck in depression, overwhelmed by anxiety, or struggling in their relationships - helping them find steadier footing, and move toward lives that feel more balanced and intentional.
Our team of 20 caring professionals believes real change happens when support is personalized, grounded in solid research, and focused on practical steps people can actually use in their everyday lives.

As Gabor Maté says: Stop asking why the addiction, and start asking why the pain.

In today's SMART meeting, we were talking about one of my favourite tools: S.T.O.P.
That tool/acronym has prevented so much regret for me. It's like extending the time to cancel a sent gmail. I've set my time to 30 seconds... long enough to get it back if I've hit send while hurt, disappointed, or angry. Thirty seconds is usually all we need to Stop, Take a Breath, Observe, and then Proceed.
I decided to create a tool/acronym S.H.I.T. just for sh*ts & giggles... because we can never have enough giggles.😘

Are you protecting yourself from disappointment and grief from having your emotional needs unmet?
You've likely heard these philosophies:
"There is no reality - only perception."
"What we perceive, we believe."
Dr. Labour hit the nail here when she says, "People increasingly interpret emotional discomfort as evidence of emotional harm."
What could happen if we decide to accept that some of our loved ones just don't love us the way we need or want to be loved?
Sometimes growth means accepting that people you love may love you imperfectly and never in the exact way that you hoped they would or should.
May the force be with you,
and remember...
YOU are the force!

Put yourself first. It's not an easy thing to do, because we've been conditioned to "provide & perform" for everyone else.
Self Care is paramount to our mental health.
Check in with yourself often throughout the day.
Check in with yourself before you speak or act.
We are NOT our emotions, but we can check in on our emotions regularly to ensure we're doing what we need to do to regulate our nervous system.
Emotions show up in the body as feelings - providing us with important info.
Be gentle with yourself. I love having these morning inspirations from Panya Walker ❤️
