Hey GAELS! High School Here I Come is next week! All incoming Grade 9 students should check their email for their assigned dates and times. Please be sure to wear appropriate clothing and shoes to be active in, bring a water bottle, and bring a combination lock (Dudley, Mastercraft or other popular brand of your choice. These can be purchased at Staples, Walmart, Dollar Store - NO KEY LOCKS PLEASE. Please enter through the front doors. If being dropped off, parents can drive through the circle out front, or walkers can walk from the sidewalk to the front doors. All other doors will not be accessible, so please only use the front entrance. We look forward to seeing our new Grade 9s next week! GO GAELS!

Hey GAELS! Graduates should have received their invitations to Commencement in the mail. All graduates are asked to submit their Grad Information Sheet (https://glencoe.tvdsb.ca/en/students/resources/Invitation-to-Graduates-to-attend-2026.pdf) back to [email protected] by FRIDAY, AUGUST 28th. That sheet includes your RSVP numbers for guests (maximum of eight) and your introduction for when you cross the stage.

Grad Gown Rentals are WAIVED for this year so there is no grad gown rental fee to pay! Graduates will be required to wear a cap and gown and should report to the library at 6:45PM on October 8th to be sized and dressed.

Undergraduate award winners will receive their invitation to attend in September. They are also asked to RSVP their number of guests (maximum of 4) by September 18th.

More information about Commencement will be released as it becomes available.

Hey GAELS! Our High School Here I Come Program will run Monday, August 17 - Thursday, August 20! 8:30AM - 12:30PM.

GDHS is hosting two sessions Monday/Tuesday & Wednesday/Thursday. TVDSB Summer School will be emailing students/parents/guardians their assigned dates so please watch your inbox as the dates get closer.

HSHIC is designed to assist students in their transition from elementary school to high school. Students will discuss the realities of high school, academic and study skills, getting and staying organized, literacy and numeracy learning skills, and how to get involved in the school community. Grade 9s will receive their timetables, locker assignments and learn the layout of the school. It's a great way to make new friends and ease any first day jitters.

All incoming Grade 9s are invited to our Grade 9 Pizza Party!
Thursday, August 20th at NOON
Please notify the school if you have any dietary restrictions by August 18. We will do our best to accommodate.

Hey GAELS! SAVE THE DATE! GDHS COMMENCEMENT & UNDERGRADUATE CEREMONY - On Thursday, October 8th at 7:30PM GDHS will be hosting our annual Commencement and Undergraduate Awards ceremony!

Graduates should have received their invitations in the mail.
