Dear Neighbours and Supporters,

I am excited to announce that I will be seeking re-election for my fourth term as an SD46 school trustee in the Lower Coast, Area 3, this coming October.

Serving as a school trustee for the past twelve years is a responsibility I take very seriously. My primary passion remains unchanged: Student Voice. How can we govern an organization focused on student learning if we do not listen to what those students have to say?

Over my past three terms, I have had the privilege of working closely with 12 exceptional student trustees. Ensuring that the student perspective—represented by these student trustees and the District Student Leadership Team (DSLT)—is heard at the board table remains one of my highest priorities.

Moving forward, I will leverage my experience to further enhance student learning. Having served on numerous committees, as a former Vice-Chair and Chair of the Board, and in provincial roles with the BC School Trustee Association (BCSTA) and the BC Public School Employers' Association (BCPSEA), I fully understand the duties and legal boundaries of this role. I am committed to responsible governance and ensuring that taxpayer funding is focused directly on initiatives within our legal scope. I look forward to working with our district's leadership team, contributing to the next SD46 Board Strategic Plan, maintaining a balanced budget, and advocating for our students' needs.
