An accessible outdoor school for everybody.

From a little forest walk yesterday, I took this photo because I was drawn to the beauty. Then, looking at it again, it seemed to reflect this exact moment of the season…a little bit of fall and a little bit of winter.

At times, in between-ness can feel a little stressful but to me yesterday it felt like beautiful permission.

Anyone else relate to a feeling of in between-ness right now?

Sending love and a gentle reminder to get outside this weekend to feed your soul 💚

Earlier this summer, my husband ruptured his Achilles and that has changed many of our summer plans. We’ve learned a lot about letting go, simplicity and changing expectations.

We’ve also learned a lot about accessibility and are so grateful for spaces that can be wheeled to. This moment was extra special. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦🌲🐟

Dear Wonder Outdoor School community - we have news! My family is moving to Collingwood, Ontario.

I’m still committed to the vision of supporting our growth through nature connection. Stay tuned for what the next chapter brings ❤️

Thanks for being a part of this journey with me. Running and growing a business has many ups and downs and connecting with this community is what has made it the most satisfying.

With gratitude,
Christina

Up, down and around. Tumbles, learning, getting back up.

Watching my kiddo find his flow today was so fun. He watched other kids, fell, tried different things and over time found the flow and joy.

Toddlers can be a lot at times. But behind all that is pure magic.

I just got stung by a ground wasp this week and appreciate this post from Happiest Outdoors Hiking and Adventure Travel about how to avoid them and what to do if you come across them.

Friendly greetings to and from these beautiful spring friends on a recent hike to Smugglers Cove in Shíshálh territory.

What are you seeing popping up on the trails?

When you think about your relationship with the Earth, what comes up for you? What do you feel in your body?

What I’ve learned, and this is the core of what I teach (regardless of age), is that if I get wrapped up in fear, I’m constricted and anxious. So I focus on love and joy. From this place, I do my best to be an activist and a human.

Let’s chose joy and abundance over fear and scarcity. Let’s act form that place. That doesn’t mean we ignore fear and grief, because they’re definitely here. But we still welcome them with love.

Activism isn’t just actions. It’s also internal building of our capacity for all these feelings.

Thoughts on this? Anyone else feel the same tension in perspective?

🌲A walk for mothers.🌲

🌲This will be a nourishing, connecting and refreshing afternoon.

🌲We will gather as a group, connect and then walk in the beautiful forest. Then we will all take some solo time to write, draw, reflect, nap…whatever you need. Then, we’ll come back together and walk home.

Can you think of a better treat for Mothers Day? Let’s immerse ourself in the forest.

Can’t wait.

Wonder Outdoor School is two years old! I’ve learned so much over the last two years.

My favourite part? YOU! The people I get so spend time with. Play, teach and learn.

This photo was snapped by on our AST1 this winter.

The sun came out and I was in my happy place 😀❄️🌲

Thanks, everyone, for being on this journey with me.
