Today the Cégep hosted Secondary 3 students from New Carlisle, New Richmond and Gaspé. Students participated in a rally race around the buildings, visited the grounds and met professors and students in all of our programs.

The 16 students enrolled in the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles English Sector took the Ministerial examination of college English last December and all of them passed the compulsory exam.

We had a blast at the Salon de la Formation au bout du Monde! Students from secondary 3, 4, 5 and two adult education centres were present today to get a look at programs offered by our Cégep.

On Saturday, January 16, 26 students from four Cégeps in Montréal arrived to spend the semester with us! Students from John Abbott College, Vanier College, Dawson College and Cégep Vieux-Montréal will get to experience life in Gaspé as part of a student mobility agreement.

Professors Guillaume Chassé (Natural Science), Luc Bélanger (Natural Science), Caroline Hamelin (Forestry), Holly McIntyre (Adventure Tourism) and Emily Roberts (Academic Advisor), took part in a career day, which was organized by Vision Gaspé. Students from grades 5 through secondary 5 were present from three local schools. They had a chance to calculate the age of trees, watch an awesome slideshow of Adventure Tourism expeditions and take part in two experiments!
