Today we received another donation towards our Playgrounds of Possibility campaign, from our friends at the Canadian - Sudbury Royal Purple Lodge 148. Thank you for your volunteer hours, as donated funds of $1,000 were raised from Delta Bingo & Gaming. Thank you so much for continuing to think of our children.

We are working on introducing Storypark to our families soon. As we get things ready behind the scenes, we invite you to watch a little video of the value of building connections with our families through Storypark and continuing to build relationships in person. Families will be provided with a more detailed information letter on how to get started followed by their invitation to join the Storypark from our team. We look forward to offering Storypark to you, our new documentation and communication tool.

Learn how Storypark is helping early childhood teachers connect and communicate better with families resulting in better learning outcomes for children.

We remember.

🧡Ahead of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, we pause to remember the children who never came home, honour Survivors of residential schools and recognize the enduring impacts on First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples, families and communities.

For CIHR, this day is also an opportunity to reflect on our responsibility as Canada’s federal health research investment agency – and on how we can support Indigenous health research and advance reconciliation through research.

Reconciliation is ongoing work. It requires listening, learning, rebuilding trust and acting with humility and accountability.

We are looking forward to celebrating all Early Learning & Child Care professionals on October 21, 2026, at Discovery Early Learning and across our province. Special thanks for the work of the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care (OCBCC), the Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario (AECEO), our municipality and other partners for taking the time to recognize our sector, the workforce and the value of care.
