Crossroads Academy has officially begun our second year, and we are excited and grateful to welcome back our returning students, as well as several new students and families who have joined our school community.

We are especially pleased to welcome Mrs. Vanessa Wheeler to our staff. Mrs. Wheeler will be serving as an assistant to Mrs. Carla Diamond, and we are thankful for the gifts, talents, and support she brings to Crossroads Academy. We look forward to seeing how God will use her throughout this school year.

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we anticipate another wonderful and successful year filled with learning, growth, friendship, and new opportunities. Our desire is to continue following God’s Word throughout every area of our curriculum and to seek His wisdom and guidance in all that we do.

We are excited about what God has in store for Crossroads Academy and look forward to watching our students grow academically, socially, and spiritually throughout the year.

Crossroads Academy is so excited to welcome back our wonderful principal and teacher, Mrs. Diamond, for Year 2!

We are deeply grateful for her dedicated leadership, endless enthusiasm, and commitment to making our school a positive, inspiring place for every student to grow. Year 1 was fantastic, and we know Year 2 is going to be even better under her guidance.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Audrey Strong last week and would like to extend our deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Mrs. Strong’s love for the youth of Gander and her unwavering faithfulness to God were instrumental in the planting of the seeds that became Crossroads Academy. Through her faithful prayers, those seeds took root and began to grow. This past year, we have had the privilege of witnessing that growth as our students have budded, blossomed, and flourished.

As a school family, we were truly blessed to visit Mrs. Strong and personally thank her for her kindness, encouragement, and obedience to God’s leading. We were able to sing for her, pray with her, and express our gratitude for the role she played in the beginning of our school. Those moments have become treasured memories.

While we grieve her passing, we rejoice in the assurance that she is now in the presence of her Saviour. We can rest in the confidence that she has heard the words of the Lord Jesus: “Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” (Matthew 25:23)

Mrs. Strong leaves behind a legacy of faithful service, fervent prayer, and steadfast trust in God. May the Lord comfort her family and all who knew and loved her, and may we continue to build upon the foundation that faithful servants like her helped to lay.
