What an exciting day for summer wings students!
The students had the opportunity to go to the Government Air Services to see the water bombers. They went inside the aircraft to take a look at what the pilot sees and learn all about the water bomber plane!
This was a super cool experience for a lot of the students, and a great opportunity to learn more about aviation!✈
Thank you to Chief Pilot, Bill Wellon, for guiding them on the tour.

Day 2 of Summer Wings was an exciting day! ✈
The students got the opportunity to go up in the Air Traffic Control tower here in the Gander International Airport. They got to watch the work of an ATC hands on, watch a couple of planes take off, and talk about the ATC side of aviation!
A big thank you to Peter and Chris for guiding them on their tour and showing them all about the ATC world!

Our first week of Summer Wings 2026 has officially started! 🛩
The students started their first day with preparatory ground instruction before they started flying.
It's important to learn the ground rules of flying an aircraft, so GFT student, Logan Saunders, taught them some important rules so they can prepare for their first flight!
We are so excited to watch them learn about the wonderful world of aviation! ☺️✈
