Today, we recognized Orange Shirt Day and the message that Every Child Matters. Students and staff wore orange, while classes participated in read-alouds, discussions and activities throughout the day.

A huge thank you to our friends at Gananoque Home Hardware Building Centre and Furniture for being such longtime and consistent supporters of Linklater Public School!
Home Hardware has helped us kick off the school year in so many ways. They generously donated lunch kits and water bottles for our students, and most recently, when we reached out looking for buckets for our music program, they came through once again with a donation of 30 buckets!
We are incredibly fortunate to have community partners who continue to step up and support our students and school.

‘MUSIC IN THE SCHOOLS’ PROGRAM AT LINKLATER
2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR REGISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENT

The 'Music in the Schools' Program is accepting new registrations for the 2026-2027 school year at Linklater.

This program offers extracurricular 'one-on-one' in-school private music lessons, by ORMTA Certified teacher Ted Paull (Guitar Gr. 3-6 / Ukulele Gr. 1-2) .

Classes are one half hour long, taught once a week during school hours throughout the school year.

Yesterday, Linklater celebrated Dot Day! Inspired by The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, students across the school made their own unique marks through colourful, creative artwork. Some even joined the fun by dressing in dots!

It was a wonderful reminder to be brave, trust your creativity and “just make a mark and see where it takes you.” 🔴🟡🔵
